Jade Barker.
Journalist. Storyteller.

I consider myself, above all else, a storyteller. I have been fortunate to be telling stories professionally as a journalist across many platforms for more than fifteen years, around the world.

After cutting my journalistic teeth in my home-country of Australia for the ABC, my insatiable curiosity for the world around me has taken me to London, Paris and New York City, working for leading news organisations such as ITN, CNBC, France 24 and Thomson Reuters, in a variety of roles from presenting, reporting and producing.

I’ve reported from red-carpets, Wall Street, court-houses, as well as major events like the technology show C.E.S, the United Nations General Assembly, Miami Art Basel, the Central Banking conference in Wyoming, the Cannes Film Festival and at the US Political conventions.

I’ve anchored rolling live news coverage of many of the biggest stories of recent times including the Arab Spring Uprisings, the Syrian War and the Boston Marathon Bombings, and have had the privilege of sitting down for in-depth interviews with industry leaders ranging from Chinese artist Ai Weiwei to entrepreneur Kimbal Musk and soccer legend Pele. I've also presented lifestyle and current affair shows, demonstrating a charismatic, natural screen presence and ability to switch tone, delivery and style accordingly.

In all my roles I have worn many hats and overseen the production of stories from start to finish. I am an excellent researcher, skilled writer and can self-shoot and video-edit. I am also a confident and engaging moderator and enjoy hosting events and panels.

I love experimenting with different formats and platforms, from TV, articles, podcasts to social media and am passionate about telling stories which put people at the heart of them.
